When Butters Stotch is playing detective, he transforms into the master sleuth, Inspector Butters. Using fake mustaches and newspapers, he can track and infiltrate targets, take photos and see what they're up to, whether it's his dear old dad or a potential murderer. Unlike the local South Park Junior Detectives, he doesn't work for profit, he works for the joy of solving mysteries. He is sometimes assisted in the field by his faithful assistant, Watson.
